Medieval Times: Best Dinner and A Show in Atlanta

Looking for the best dinner and a show in Atlanta? Then Medieval Times Sugarloaf Mills is the place for you.

Located at 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy Suite 517, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 it is an easy drive from downtown Atlanta. Now, when I say easy, I mean direction- wise. Lol. Traffic in Atlanta on any day can be an adventure in itself.

This was my third visit to Medieval Times. I vaguely remember my first visit. I was in my late teens. I think I was on my Senior trip.

Family at Medieval Tiimes

The only thing I remember is how into the show my friends and I were. I can still see us cheering and laughing.

My second visit was when my dad turned 60. In true Memories Instead of Things fashion, I decided to take my entire family to a show in honor of his birthday.

There were 10 people total ranging from 60 years old to 4 years old. T and I were the only ones who had ever visited before. My dad had never heard of show. They all just went with the flow.

They had a blast!

My kids have begged to return ever since. When I heard about the new show, I was excited to check it out. Perfect time for another visit.

Our first family adventure of 2019.

Pro Tips

Do arrive early- Doors open 90 minutes before the show.

The parking lot is always full. We wanted to park near the closest entrance and we had to wait to find a parking spot. If you don’t mind walking, you can park in another section of the mall.

Also, the line to enter the show was long. Even if you have tickets in hand, you have to stand in line to exchange your tickets for seating assignments.

Be prepared to eat with your hands

Medieval Times wants you to experience the show in a way in which people ate during that time frame. No utensils are offered with your food. If you are uncomfortable with eating with your hands, just ask and they will bring you a set of utensils.

Some parts may be scary for little kids

The tournament is the event that we all waited for. The clinging of the sword, sparks that fly, and the breaking of the jousting lances made the show seem all too real. My five year old had a hard time during some of these moments.

If you have kids that are sensitive, make sure to prepare them for this part of the show.

Look for discounts

You are able to get tickets for $37 by entering or mentioning USF37 until 1/31/2019. If you missed this offer don’t worry. There are always coupon codes available. I have even seen offers on Groupon.com .
